You will not find any chain stores here but you will be charmed by the eclectic array of shops from antiques to apparel and unique gifts and specialty shops. You never know what you might discover when you explore the town.

Browse the Friday Farmer’s Market for fresh local produce and locally produced food. You can try some barbecue or local jams and meet the farmers who produce our food. Take some time to escape the city and discover a simpler place and time.

Visit Cambria for your relaxing getaway.  Cambria’s day spas and wellness centers offer respite with restorative body massages and spa packages. As you meander through the town you will also find our wine and beer tasting rooms to quench your thirst after a long day of fun shopping.

Parking is free and the weather is beautiful. You’ll never shop another mall after you shop Cambria.

Highway Closures

Highway 1 Closure

If you're heading to the Central Coast, be sure to be mindful of the stretch of Highway 1, 21 miles north of Cambria. Caltrans is busy with a major construction project to make traveling along the stunning Pacific Coast Highway a safer journey.

Additional overnight road closures of Highway 1 may be scheduled prior to the completion of the project in 2017, but none are planned at this time.

01/13/2017 - Highway 1 Storm Repair Along the Big Sur Coast State Route 1 is closed from Ragged Point (SLO PM 72.87) to Lucia (MON PM 23.00) due to rock/mudslides and trees down in multiple locations. Motorists may travel south on Hwy. 1 from Carmel to Lucia or travel north from Cambria to Ragged Point. In addition there a full closure on Hwy. 1 at Mud Creek (MON PM 8.88) due to an active mud/rock slide within the existing boundary of this closure. There is no limited access through this area for local residents at this time. There is no estimated time when this section of Hwy. 1 will re-open. .
