Fall 2018 Events

The leaves are changing color, and as the cool breezes begin to blow in, so do some of our favorite fall festivities.

Cambria plays host to numerous exciting events in autumn, including Pinedorado Days and Scarecrow Festival, two Cambria classics that excite visitors year after year. The weather is beautiful, and these events provide another opportunity for guests to visit and fall in love with Cambria. 2018 Pinedorado Days

Pinedorado Days is a Labor Day Weekend event that begins on Saturday, September 1, and continues through Monday, September 3. After the big parade on Saturday, the Pinedorado grounds will offer barbeques, kids games, prizes, facepainting, food booths, kiddy cars, an art show and live music. There will also be a beer and wine pub. The car show on Sunday at the Veteran’s Hall will feature all years and makes. This weekend is the perfect way to kick off fall.


 

10th Annual Scarecrow Festival

This October, more than 400 imaginative and lively scarecrows will line the streets of Cambria’s East and West Villages, Moonstone Beach and San Simeon. The scarecrows are the perfect manifestation of Cambria’s incredibly artistic community. Winners will be announced at this year’s Oktoberfest, a delightful celebration of all things October at the Pinedorado Grounds.


 

Cambria Scarecrow Classic 5K Run & Walk

This year, visitors can take part in the Scarecrow Classic on Sunday, October 21, which goes from Shamel Park into Fiscalini Ranch and features amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite scarecrows. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family!


 

Annual Harvest Festival

On Saturday, October 13, the Annual Harvest Festival will return to the Cambria Historical Museum for another year of food, fun, and festivities! The Cambria Historical Society is providing fun for the whole family from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.


 

Hearst Castle Evening Tours

Beginning in October and continuing through November 17, on most Friday and Saturday evenings, Hearst Castle will feature the Living History Program that emphasizes the lush lifestyle of the estate. The castle is fully illuminated on this two-hour-long evening tour, as docents in period dress bring history to life. Hearst Castle is one of many must-see attractions on the Central Coast, and is only six miles north of Cambria.


 

40th Annual Central Coast Woodcarvers Show

At the Cambria Vet’s Hall on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16, join local and statewide wood carvers at their annual showcase, where they will display and sell their art. The competition takes place at 1 p.m. on both days. There will be a raffle for individual carvings as well as a silent auction for a featured piece. Tools and supplies will also be available for purchase.
