Hike-in Open House at Piedras Blancas Light Station
Enjoy a day out learning about the history and local ecology of Piedras Blancas Light Station—one of the Central Coast’s most endearing landmarks. Pack a picnic lunch and arrive at the lighthouse grounds between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., where you’ll be able to explore, have questions answered by the docents and staff, and check out the gift shop. Whenever you’re ready, head out for a breezy hike around to the elephant seal viewing area and the vista point north of the station.
Entry is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person, which contributes to the restoration and maintenance of the light station.
