Sandy Seale is the Director of Development at Las Cumbres Observatory\, who played a key role in fundraising for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory—the site of the world’s largest digital camera. Jim Bean\, a 23-year NASA JPL veteran\, was on the Mars Rover mobility team and now leads engineering management systems. At this event\, you’ll hear both of them speak on their astronomical expertise. \nIn addition to these presentations under the stars\, the event will feature: \n\nTelescope viewing of Saturn\, Neptune\, and the moon\nDeep space images from local astronomers\nCookies and light refreshments\nA silent auction to support local initiatives\nPresentation of the Good Neighbor Lighting Award\n\nA $15 donation is requested for entry. Children ages 12 and under attend for free.
