For a Girls’ Weekend

Moments spent with friends

Guest bloggers, Ivy & Eve, spend their weekends where the pines meet the sea. Follow their itinerary for a relaxing weekend with your girlfriends—complete with wine, pie, yoga, and shopping. What more could a girl ask for?

Day 1:

7:30 p.m. – Dinner at the Sea Chest Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant

On their first night in the Central Coast, Ivy & Eve set out for dinner at Sea Chest Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant. The restaurant is located at 6216 Moonstone Beach Drive and has served fresh seafood in Cambria for more than 30 years. Located a stone’s throw away from the beach, it has remained a popular stopover point for visitors traveling from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the Central Valley.

“Everything was delicious, and we had to practically roll ourselves out to our car.” – Ivy & Eve.

Day 2:

10 a.m. – Explore Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Ivy & Eve walked along the Bluff Trail at Fiscalini Ranch to start their first full day in Cambria. The trail begins at the main entrance of Fiscalini Ranch and spans a distance of approximately one mile. Bluff Trail offers stunning ocean views, and you may even spot some native wildlife, too!

“The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a walk along the coast.” – Ivy & Eve.

12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Indigo Moon

After taking in Cambria’s natural beauty, Ivy & Eve stopped for lunch at Indigo Moon. This restaurant offers lunch and dinner in a casual, warm environment, featuring house-made soups and sandwiches, in addition to seafood, salads, and imaginative desserts that you can enjoy with their wide variety of wines and cheeses.

“This is sure to become one of our go-to spots for lunch. Everything is so fresh and delicious!” – Ivy & Eve.

3 p.m. – Wine Tasting at Cutruzzola Vineyards

After lunch, Ivy and Eve spent time wandering through Main Street’s collection of boutiques before making their way to Cutruzzola Vineyards for an afternoon wine tasting. Cutruzzola Vineyards produces Riesling and Pinot Noir from the estate vineyard located just outside of Cambria. It is located a few miles from the water’s edge and just over the coastal mountains from the Westside Paso Robles wine region. The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“They had a lovely variety of wines to taste, and we bought the 2015 Chardonnay and 2013 Gloria Estate Pinot Noir to bring home and share.” – Ivy & Eve.

6 p.m. – Dinner at Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill

Ivy & Eve found themselves with a sunset view of the ocean for dinner at the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill. Enjoy your meal on the heated patio overlooking the Pacific or inside, where large picture windows afford you an expansive ocean view. They don’t take reservations, so planning is key!

“We definitely see ourselves coming back and enjoying a glass of wine, oysters, and more on the patio at sunset during the summer.” – Ivy & Eve.

Day 3:

9 a.m. – Yoga at GymOne or Pilates at Metta Pilates

A getaway to Cambria is all about treating your mind, body, and soul. Seizing a relaxing morning, the girls took a yoga class at GymOne. You can take a variety of classes at GymOne, including HIIT, Pilates, and Cycling. Or try a class at Metta Pilates, held in a lovely vineyard or a lush garden. Check the websites for current class times and locations.

11:30 a.m. – Wine Tasting at Moonstone Cellars

Next up, Ivy & Eve headed to Moonstone Cellars for a well-deserved wine tasting. Moonstone Cellars offers a wide selection of varietals. From a lighter-style Grenache to a full-bodied Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc to a dry Riesling, there is something for everyone.

“We enjoyed the wine flight because they have some exciting varietals like the Gewurztraminer, which is not typically grown back home in Monterey County.” – Ivy & Eve.

1:00 p.m. – Lunch at Café on Bridge Street

After enjoying a glass or two at Moonstone Cellars, Ivy & Eve decided to make a stop for lunch at Café on Bridge Street. As a winner of the “10 Best Sandwiches in SLO County,” award, Café is a must-stop for locals and travelers alike.

“We are no sandwich connoisseurs but this place is GOOD!” – Ivy & Eve.

2 p.m. – Dessert at Linn’s

What’s a trip to Cambria without olallieberry pie? Before heading back home, Ivy & Eve stopped at Linn’s for a slice of pie served with whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serving hearty breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, Linn’s also has small plate choices, offers Hearst Ranch beef, and naturally, bakes lots of olallieberry treats.

“We sat in the sunshine as we devoured our slices, reminiscing on the weekend’s adventures, it was the perfect ending to our lovely girls’ weekend in Cambria.” – Ivy & Eve.
