Step off the trail and into a deeper understanding of one of Cambria’s most treasured natural spaces. Guided docent walks at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve explore different sides of nature and the efforts at maintaining it. This walk focuses on Spanish moss—what it is and what it isn’t.
Led by docent Brian Morgen, this two-hour experience will take you through fun facts about Spanish moss. You’ll learn what it does and how it interacts with the natural environment of Fiscalini. You’ll also have the opportunity to test your guide’s knowledge by asking questions, prompting more information throughout your leisurely stroll.
Register online to join this guided docent walk. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for off-trail walking. Children are welcome with adult supervision. No dogs are allowed. Please note that there are no restroom facilities on-site, and the event may be canceled in the event of rain.
