Step off the trail and into a deeper understanding of one of Cambria’s most treasured natural spaces. Guided docent walks at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve explore different sides of nature and the efforts at maintaining it. This walk focuses on fun facts about the area, once nicknamed “El Osito.”
Led by docent Gil Eastman, this experience will let you learn some interesting facts and follow along on some pretty odd topics. Find out about the original inhabitants of the area, how fast things can grow in Fiscalini, and what fleabane is. It’s a leisurely stroll that’s set to be entertaining and educational for everyone.
Register online to join this guided docent walk. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for off-trail walking. Children are welcome with adult supervision. No dogs are allowed. Please note that there are no restroom facilities on-site, and the event may be canceled in the event of rain.
