2026 Greenspace Annual Monterey Pine Tree Planting

Join Greenspace Cambria in their restorative efforts for the new year as they set about planting another 1,000 Monterey pine trees at Hearst San Simeon State Park. This annual tree planting project began at the park in 2019, and after seven years of plantings, over 7,000 trees have been grown and planted so far. With a burgeoning forest taking root, this event will let you contribute to planting additional trees, as well as native understory shrubs to help support the ecosystem even more.

Greenspace has set the date (weather permitting) for Saturday, January 24, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. You can sign up by sending an email to admin@greenspacecambria.org, noting the number of planters who will be in your group—Greenspace will email you back further details, and you can also watch their website, social media, and newsletters for updated info. All ages are welcome. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
