A Weekend of Fiber Arts (Assemblage and Baskets)

Spend a creative weekend exploring texture, color, and form at the Cambria Center for the Arts. Led by fiber artist Vicki Assegued, this two-day workshop offers a hands-on introduction to two unique fiber art techniques—each designed to spark creativity and self-expression.

On Saturday, you’ll create a layered fabric assemblage, building a one-of-a-kind wall piece with rich textures, dimensional shapes, and thoughtfully composed elements—no sewing required. On Sunday, shift into sculptural form as you craft a coiled fiber basket, wrapping and shaping materials into a functional and expressive vessel.

Fee for this workshop is $275, or $250 for CCA members. You may sign up online. All materials are provided, so you can simply arrive ready to explore.
