California Sculptors Symposium
The California Sculptors Symposium returns to Cambria for a week-long celebration of art, craftsmanship, and connection. Set against a backdrop of coastal pines and ocean air, this immersive experience brings sculptors together to learn, create, and share their passion across a range of mediums—from stone and wood to metal, clay, and beyond.
Through hands-on workshops and live demonstrations, you’ll gain new techniques, explore fresh ideas, and refine your artistic voice alongside expert instructors. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or continuing a lifelong practice, this is a space to exchange ideas, build skills, and reconnect with your creativity.
Featured workshops include:
- Figurative Clay with Alexander S. Peter
- Inflatable Sculpture with Amy Brown
- Stone Carving with Brian Barreto
Workshops take place at Camp Ocean Pines, where the natural surroundings offer both inspiration and a sense of retreat. Expect a mix of hands-on learning, creative exploration, and moments to pause and take in the beauty of Cambria.
Multiple registration plans are available, including on-site and off-site lodging, full-week experiences, and day rates. Select options include meals, lodging, and full access to workshops and activities. Visit the event page on the Camp Ocean Pines website for more information.
