Mindful Marks Inspired Drawing Group

Every third Wednesday of the month, join the Mindful Marks Inspired Drawing Group for a class in the Green Room in the Cambria Center for the Arts. This class is based on Lynda Monick-Isenberg’s Observational Drawing and Mindful Marks. The basic premise, in Lynda’s words:

“Drawing is at the core of all art making; it is the way we first make our mark in the world. Drawing is expressive and unique to each hand. It is as personal as our signature and as joyful as drawing in the sand. Drawing is not a talent. It is a learned and practiced skill.”

Class participants will be guided through traditional and nontraditional drawing exercises to develop their drawing skills, techniques, and strategies. The group will offer new ways of seeing, looking, and engaging with the world through the act of drawing with a supportive community.

This class has a fee of $10, but is free for CCA members. You may sign up through the CCA website.
