Northern Elephant Seal Rookery
These oceanic giants are a sight to be seen, and you can catch a glimpse of them as their resting in their rookery. During peak season, thousands of animals lounge on the shore, breeding, birthing, and resting. Fortunately, there are elephant seals on the coast year-round for visitors to admire.
Hearst Castle
This lavish historical landmark is a must-see for anyone taking a trip on Highway 1. With 165 impressively decorated rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools, and walkways, take a tour and explore William Randolph Hearst’s magical home.
Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill
Stop for a bite to eat on the patio of the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill. Enjoy ocean views while you savor fresh seafood, local ingredients, and some of the best clam chowder in the area.

Depending on what time of day you head to Seed & Soul, you can choose between a cup of coffee and a glass of beer—but the shop itself and the garden outside offer inviting spaces to sit and enjoy at all times of day.

We’d recommend starting with some wine and cheese pairings, but after that, go wild! Indigo Moon has plenty of options, and you can explore the menu while dining in the front room, on the patio, or in the garden.
The Shops at the Garden Shed
The Garden Shed is located in an old tin-walled creamery and filled with unique gifts and garden items—but when you venture out the back door, you’ll find a courtyard full of fascinating shops. This is a shopping experience unlike any other.
Linn’s Easy as Pie
It wouldn’t be a trip to Cambria without some famous olallieberry pie. This local staple is beyond delicious, but honestly, we won’t fault you for trying some of Linn’s other delicious olallieberry desserts!
Harmony
This charming village of less than 40 people is just five miles south of Cambria, full of artisans and small-town charm. Glass blowing lessons are offered at Harmony Glass Works. You can also wine taste at Harmony Cellars, one of six wineries on the Pacific Coast Wine Trail, and grab a sweet treat at Harmony Valley Creamery on your way out.
