5 Ways to Fall in Love in Cambria

As the autumn breeze sweeps into town, Cambria transforms—and all who visit during this time of year will feel the magic in the air. There is no better time to escape to the Central Coast for a romantic getaway with the one you love, and with an abundance of fall activities at your fingertips, the two of you will leave feeling refreshed and closer than ever.

Enjoy a seasonal meal at a local eatery.

One of the best things about Cambria is the farm-to-table fare available all over town. Stop in at one of our favorite restaurants, like Robin’s Restaurant, Indigo Moon, or Harmony Café, and try a seasonal special that will put you in the mood for fall. If you want to switch things up, head over to Soto’s True Earth Market or the Friday Farmers Market to pick up some in-season items to create your own picnic. Of course, stop by Linn’s Restaurant for a slice of olallieberry pie—it’s delicious in every season, and a special fall treat might catch your eye, too.

Take a stroll around town to see the scarecrows.

Every October, the Scarecrow Festival takes over Cambria, with hundreds of scarecrows adorning the stores and streets throughout town, handcrafted by local artists, business owners, and students. Some are spooky, but most are whimsical and creative. Find your favorite scarecrow and post pictures to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter for the chance to be featured on Visit Cambria’s channels!

Sip on a fall beverage.

Fall is all about autumn brews. Start your morning with a seasonal coffee from Cambria Coffee Roasting Company, like a delicious pumpkin spice latte. Later in the day, head to 927 Beer Company for one of their unique beers on tap, like the Olallieberry Wheat Ale that was recently developed with Linn’s fresh olallieberries.

Find a trinket to take home.

Cambria is full of boutiques and antique shops, each hiding their own secret treasures. The shops at the Garden Shed are a great place to start, with succulents, books, clothes, and gifts in abundance. Spellbound, located in one of Cambria’s historic buildings, has herbs, incense, and a beautiful garden. Head over to one of Cambria’s antique stores, like Rich Man Poor Man Antiques, to find a piece that will bring some history into your home. Search the shelves, and you’re sure to find something special.

Walk through Fiscalini Ranch and along Moonstone Beach.

The best thing about Cambria is that the beach is beautiful all year long. Take a long, romantic walk along the cliffs in Fiscalini Ranch during the day, and at sunset, head over to Moonstone Beach to take it all in from the mile-long boardwalk above the sand. Find a bench and watch the colorful horizon—that brisk fall air will only make you want to snuggle up closer.
