Join Greenspace for their next Speaker Series entry, featuring David Helvarg, on Sunday, July 19, at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Cambria. Helvarg will be speaking about his new book, Forest of the Sea: The Remarkable Life and Imperiled Future of Kelp.
David Helvarg is the author of seven books, and executive director of Blue Frontier, an ocean policy group. He is an award-winning journalist, co-host of the Rising Tide Ocean Podcast, editor of the Ocean and Coastal Conservation Guide, and co-founder of the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards. The Forest of the Sea serves as a key reminder that although the colorful underwater world of kelp is at risk, ordinary citizens can still work together to restore and protect the forests. Join Greenspace for this incredible opportunity to hear from Helvarg and learn about the hope that exists for the future of our oceans.
