Lining the streets of Cambria’s East and West Villages, Moonstone Beach, and San Simeon, these creations are the center of the annual Cambria Scarecrow Festival. Lasting throughout the month of October, the festival spreads the spirit of fall and brings a smile to every face. This event truly showcases the immense talents of Cambria’s artistic community. Jack Creek Farms

Jack Creek Farms, a small family farm located right outside of Cambria on Highway 46, is a perfect stop for family-focused fall fun. You can pick up local fruits and vegetables all year long, but their pumpkin patch is a must-see in the fall! Sip on an apple cider slushie and enjoy a freshly baked treat using in-season ingredients grown right on the farm. Make sure to check out their pumpkin patch, because it just isn’t fall until you’ve seen pumpkins! Don’t leave without navigating the fort maze!

Covell Clydesdale Ranch

The Covell Clydesdale Ranch is the only place on earth where you can experience majestic Clydesdale horses grazing on nearly 2,000 acres of rolling pastures speckled with pristine Monterey Pines and overlooking an exquisite view of the Pacific Ocean. Riding a horse is a quintessential autumn activity, so make sure to fit a visit to the ranch into your Central Coast visit. Their daily hours are Monday through Saturday, with a 9 a.m. trail ride, a 12 p.m. vehicle tour, and a 3 p.m. trail ride. They also offer private tours for events! Check their website for more details.

Fiscalini Ranch

While you’re exploring the Central Coast, Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a beautiful area to visit. Home to a number of endangered species and species of special concern, the ranch preserve offers a wonderful display of nature’s diversity. Take a hike down one of eight trail entrances that meander through 437 acres of protected forest, riparian habitat, and grasslands. For more information about this non-profit, visit their website.
