Take a Tour of Central Coast Varietals

Stretching along scenic Highway 1, the Pacific Coast Wine Trail invites you to experience California’s Central Coast through a wine lover’s lens. Discover cool-climate vineyards, small-lot wines, and tasting rooms tucked into seaside towns and rolling hills. Centered around Cambria, this trail offers a relaxed, unhurried way to taste exceptional wines from all up and down the coast.

Whether you spend a full day exploring or turn it into a multi-day escape, the Pacific Coast Wine Trail pairs beautifully with ocean views, great food, and unforgettable memories.

Curating A Coastal Wine Experience

Established in 2013, the Pacific Coast Wine Trail was created to showcase boutique wineries along Northern San Luis Obispo County’s coastline. While many travelers stay in Cambria and head inland to Paso Robles for tasting, this trail offers something different—an opportunity to remain on the coast, savor the idyllic weather, and discover wines shaped by ocean air and diverse microclimates.

Along the trail, you’ll find everything from Pinot Noir and Riesling grown just minutes from the Pacific to distinctive Rhône and Malbec varieties sourced from local vineyards. What unites them all is a commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and wines that reflect both place and people.

Please note: Reservations may be required. We recommend checking with each winery before your visit.

Plan Your Route Along Highway 1

The Pacific Coast Wine Trail spans eight unique wineries, running north to south along Highway 1 and its surrounding backroads. Cambria makes an ideal home base, placing you within minutes of several tasting rooms and just a short drive from the rest.
