Cambria by Bike

One of the best ways to explore Cambria is on two wheels. Take advantage of the cycling-friendly community and tour the town on your bike (or on a bike that you rent from one of these lodging properties ). There are hidden gems all over Cambria, so hop on—let’s discover them all.

This itinerary was designed to begin and end at Moonstone Beach, but because it’s a loop, you can start and end anywhere along the way. Customize to your heart’s content and be sure to tag Visit Cambria in your photos along the way!

Start on Moonstone Beach Drive

There’s no better place to kick off your biking day than on Moonstone Beach Drive, with views of the ocean and the breeze blowing through your hair. Head into town for a loop past some of our favorite stops.

Stop by the famous Fresnel Lens

If the sun hits it just right, this lens recovered from the original Piedras Blancas Light Station scatters rays of light all around. Park your bike here and read the historic plaque before you snap a quick picture.

Stop and shop at the Garden Shed, Ocean Heir, and Grow Nursery

This collection of shops offers the perfect place to hop off your bike and walk around. You’re sure to be charmed by the gifts, trinkets, and succulents available for purchase as you weave through the intricate labyrinth of displays.

Fuel up at Hidden Kitchen

Open seasonally and only on weekends, Hidden Kitchen features variations of their delicious blue corn waffles, as well as deliciously fresh juices and smoothies. Their outdoor patio makes for the perfect Instagram moment.

Explore Soto’s True Earth Market

If Hidden Kitchen isn’t open (or if you’re craving some extra variety), stop into Soto’s and head straight to the back, where their market deli serves up wraps, salads, and flatbreads that will rock your world.

Find a treasure at Heart Glass Gallery & Gift Shop

At the last stop on your loop before you turn around, you’ll find custom moonstone jewelry, local art, and gifts galore—plus an amazing driftwood sculpture out front that is practically begging you to climb inside for a photo opp.

Pick up a slice of pie at Linn’s Easy as Pie Café

You can’t come to Cambria without having a slice of Linn’s legendary olallieberry pie. Take another break for a delectable dessert at the café behind the original restaurant.

Stop for coffee at Seed & Soul

Seed & Soul serves coffee, tea, and beer in a charming building right on Main Street. Take a quick caffeine break and soak up the sun in one of their colorful Adirondack loungers.

End at Moonstone Beach Park

After a full day’s adventure around Cambria, soothe your sore muscles with a stroll through Moonstone Beach Park as you listen to the sound of the waves.
