Moments of Bliss
Don’t miss a moment with your best friend.
If you need help planning a trip where you can stay, play, and eat with your furry friend, you’ve come to the right place. Cambria offers pet-friendly lodging, activities, and restaurants so that you don’t have to leave your best buddy out of all of the fun! Traveling with your pup has never been easier. Follow our three-day dog-friendly itinerary as you explore our coastal town.
Day 1:
Cambria Coffee Roasting Company
Cambria Coffee Roasting Company is the perfect place to grab a cup of joe and begin your Cambria adventure. Not only do they make a delicious, perfectly roasted cup of coffee, but the staff loves dogs as much as they do their brews. Take a seat on the patio to people-watch (and dog-watch) while you enjoy your breakfast.
Explore Main Street
You don’t have to sacrifice your Cambria bucket list for your pet—and that includes shopping! Cambria is full of one-of-a-kind boutiques with treasures that you can’t find anywhere else, and many of our shops are dog-friendly. Don’t leave Cambria without a treat for yourself (and one for your pet, too)—Stash Local Goods is one of our favorite stores for humans and pets alike.
Lunch at Sandy’s Deli & Bakery
After a morning of shopping, stop by Sandy’s Deli & Bakery to fuel up on a delicious sandwich, tasty burrito, fresh salad, or homemade soup. Their outdoor patio is pet-friendly, so you and your pet can enjoy your lunch while spending quality time together!
Playtime at Cambria Dog Park
It wouldn’t be a pet-friendly vacation without a trip to the Cambria Dog Park. At the dog park, your furry friend is free to exercise and socialize without their leash, and you will be worry-free because the park is fully fenced with water and shade. You may even make a few four-legged friends in the process!
Dinner at Cambria Pub & Steakhouse
Enjoy the Cambria Pub & Steakhouse for a delicious steak dinner with an upbeat, family-friendly atmosphere. The menu features Harris Ranch beef, but also includes fish, poultry and vegetarian dishes. Their pet-friendly outdoor patio is inviting to both you and your pet while overlooking the Cambria Historical Museum and Gardens.
Day 2:
Breakfast at Creekside Garden Café
The Creekside Garden Café is located in the center of Cambria and offers California-style breakfast and lunch options like omelets, pancakes, and french toast. Their cozy patio is dog-friendly and offers an ambiance that both you and your pet will love.
Playtime at Shamel Park
Shamel Community Park is a six-acre county park with a playing field, swimming pool (open in-season), barbeques, picnic tables, and a children’s play area. Shamel Community Park is adjacent to a long sweeping beach that is the south end of Moonstone Beach. You and your pet can even hunt for moonstones near the mouth of Santa Rosa Creek.
Lunch at Main Street Grill
Main Street Grill is a pet-friendly place for classic BBQ items and a variety of seafood favorites. Enjoy local favorites like calamari and shrimp while dining on the relaxed outside patio with your pup.
Stroll Fiscalini Ranch
Fiscalini Ranch is 440-acre preserve that stretches along one stunning mile of oceanfront views. This leash-only preserve is home to lots of great walking trails for both you and your pup! When you need a break, sit at one of the many benches located along the trail and listen to sounds of the waves crashing and birds chirping.
Dinner at Robin’s Restaurant
Robin’s is one of Cambria’s most loved restaurants by locals, tourists, and pets, too! Robin’s Restaurant serves up handcrafted global cuisine, international fare, and farmer’s market fresh options. The outdoor garden seating area is dog-friendly.
Day 3:
Walk on the Boardwalk
Begin your last day in Cambria with a walk on the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk. Although the beach doesn’t allow dogs, you can wander along this one-mile long boardwalk and get a feel of the sea air with your pooch. Dogs are required to wear leashes on the boardwalk.
Lunch at Las Cambritas
If you find yourself craving avocado egg rolls, tequila steamed mussels, or paella—head to lunch at Las Cambritas. The Mexican restaurant’s large outdoor patio is pet-friendly and you may even get to listen to live music as you enjoy the restaurant’s festive ambiance.
Experience Central Coast Wine Tasting
One of the best things about wine tasting in Cambria is our dog-friendly tasting rooms! Enjoy award-winning wines in flavors for every palette at Stolo Winery, Cayucos Cellars, and Moonstone Cellars (to name a few). We recommend calling the tasting rooms in advance to make sure your furry friend will be welcomed.
Dinner at Indigo Moon Café
Complete your pet-friendly visit to Cambria with a dinner you won’t forget. Indigo Moon has a warm and friendly environment with a menu featuring meals like pistachio-crusted goat cheese salad, calamari piccata, and quinoa bowls. Their large patio is dog-friendly, heated, and enclosed.
