The Cambria Lawn Bowling Club, established in 1968, is committed to promoting the sport of lawn bowling and fostering a sense of community among its members. The club welcomes new members and visitors from around the world, offering a warm and friendly environment in which to enjoy the game of lawn bowls.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome to visit and have free lessons. Club members are always willing to help newcomers learn this fun and challenging game.
Hours of Operation
Regular Bowling Days:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Club members begin arriving at 9 a.m. each day to set up the rinks and draw teams for play. We begin rolling our first bowls at 9:30 am. If you’re visiting Cambria and would like to bowl at a time other than normal times, please send an email to CambriaLBC@gmail.com to arrange an out-of-hours lesson.

Reasons to Learn to Bowl
- The rules are simple but the game takes a lifetime to perfect. Start young and you have a long lifetime to grow your skills and understand the strategies of the game.
- There’s individual play and team play. As you learn the game and hone your skills, you’ll learn your preference of singles or team play.
- It’s a gentle way to be active. You’ll do a lot of walking, a few lunges, and light weight lifting. Since the game is gentle, it not unusual to meet players in their 90s! However, don’t let that stop you from learning at a young age. The game is changing and international play consists of players as young as teenagers.
- It’s a social game. Lawn bowls gives you the opportunity to get outdoors and mingle with your friends; many bowlers become long-time friends. If you decide to play in tournaments, you will meet people from many walks of life from all over the world.
- It’s a perfect game for everyone to play. You will play with many different people—young or old regardless of age or gender or physical ability.
- Cambria LBC offers FREE lessons. Come out during our hours of operation and a club member will get you on your way to great bowls!
