San Simeon Cove & Pier/William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach

The Simeon Cove & Pier, located at the William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach directly across Highway 1 from Hearst Castle, is a popular beach spot for visitors. From fishing on the 850-foot San Simeon Pier, ranked as the 25th longest pier in California, to hiking along sandy stretches of beach, to swimming in the Pacific, San Simeon Cove offers year-round aquatic adventures. The beach is a popular spot for surfers and kayakers and offers kayak and boogie board rentals, as well as deep sea fishing charters. The day use area features picnic tables, restrooms, running water, and barbeque grills. To the right of the beach area midway up the cove is a trail that wanders through the pines to a beautiful vista of the ocean.
