Summer 2019 Events

Summer is here, which means so are all of our favorite summer events! Join Cambria in celebrating the Fourth of July at Shamel Park, taste the best chilis on the Central Coast at the Car Show & Chili Cook-Off, head to Harmony for the Wine & Beer Festival, or spend Labor Day weekend in Cambria to experience all of the Pinedorado Days festivities. There’s so much to see and do in Cambria this summer! We can’t wait to see you there!


25th Annual Classic Car Show Chili Cook-Off

Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The annual Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car Show presented by the Cambria Chamber of Commerce takes place on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Come to the cool coast to taste award-winning chili, craft beer, local wine, and yummy ice cream. The event will include a variety of cars and trucks from vintage, to classic to exotic and there will be 10 to 12 exciting chili offerings. Add beer to these activities and you have a full, hot, plate. The cost for a chili tasting is $10.


Blueberry U-Pick

Every Saturday & Sunday in June

Dragon Spring Farm is a small family farm dedicated to sustainable farming practices and bringing superior produce to the Cambria community. Every Saturday and Sunday of June, visitors can come and pick their own blueberries to enjoy!


Fourth of July

Thursday, July 4, 2019, 9 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Come together with family, friends, and the Cambria community for the annual American Legion Fourth of July celebration at Shamel Park! From food to face painting and relays to raffles, this Independence Day event will be fun for all ages. Live music will be playing throughout the day, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. The event will conclude with a stunning fireworks show—it’s sure to be a blast!


Harmony Wine & Beer Festival

Saturday, August 3, 2019

Enjoy unlimited wine and beer tasting as well as snacks for purchase from local food trucks at the 2nd Annual Harmony Wine & Beer Festival on Saturday, August 3! Patrons can also pop into Harmony Glassworks or Harmony Pottery for keepsakes. Grab a glass and stroll through this little town.


Pinedorado Days

Saturday, August 31 – Monday, September 2, 2019

Enjoy the 2019 Cambria Pinedorado Days at the Pinedorado grounds and the Veterans Hall on Main Street. Pinedorado Days are three days of fun for children and adults with food, raffles, and so much more, starting with a parade and fun run on Saturday and ending with a wonderful car show on Sunday.


Cambria Farmers Market

Every Friday, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.

You can find the Cambria Farmers Market in the Veteran’s Hall parking lot at 1000 Main Street in Cambria’s West Village. Summer hours are 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. Cambria’s market aims to provide the highest quality seasonal produce and prepared foods to the community and visitors. The market is food-only.


Hearst Castle Tours

Every day

Built in the 1920s by media magnate William Randolph Hearst, ‘La Cuesta Encantada,’ or the Enchanted Hill, is a must-see for any visitors to the Central Coast. Only six miles north of Cambria, the grand estate features 165 rooms and more than 125 acres of sprawling gardens, walkways, terraces, and pools, most of which are available for tours. Reserve tickets up to 60 days in advance.

Movies in the Garden

Every Thursday from June 20 – August 15

Movies in the Garden at the Cambria Pines Lodge will screen a family-friendly movie every Thursday evening (with the exception of July 4) throughout the summer. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and movies will be shown on a large outdoor screen in the gardens at Cambria Pines Lodge. Movies in the Garden begins on Thursday, June 20, and runs through Thursday, August 15. Admission is free each week.

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring pillows and blankets, as well as sweaters to stay warm after the sun sets. Chairs are allowed, but will be placed in the back. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome. Children should be accompanied by an adult. The Cambria Pines Lodge hot dog cart will serve hot dogs and there will be other snacks and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for purchase. Guests are also encouraged to come early and enjoy dinner in the Cambria Pines Lodge Restaurant or Fireside Lounge.
