Visit Hearst Castle

Ride six miles up Highway 1 to reach the iconic Hearst Castle. Built in the 1920s by media magnate William Randolph Hearst, ‘La Cuesta Encantada,’ or the Enchanted Hill, is a must-see for any visitors to the Central Coast. The grand estate features 165 rooms and more than 125 acres of sprawling gardens, walkways, terraces, and pools, most of which are available for tours.


Day Trips – North

Cambria is the perfect hub for short rides up and down the coast. Head north to see iconic landmarks like the elephant seals, Ragged Point, and Bixby Bridge. Head to Gorda for a shorter trip, or go all the way to Big Sur for a day full of natural wonders.


Day Trips – South

Go for a short trip south on Highway 1 on the Cayucos route to get some famous Brown Butter Cookies and visit the Cayucos Pier, or take a longer trip on the Montaña de Oro route to see the caves at Spooner’s Cove and have lunch at House of JuJu by the Bay in Morro Bay. Go all the way to Avila Beach for a true taste of the Central Coast.

Tour Stepladder Ranch & Creamery

Stepladder is a fully functioning goat cheese creamery and an avocado farm. Head just outside of Cambria to meet their herd of Lamancha goats and learn about the cheese making process with your group.
