Cambria is home to multiple ideal locations for scouting tide pools and the creatures that reside in them. To avoid crushing any tide pool critters, please do not pick up any of the animals—just observe and leave them in their home.
At Leffingwell Landing, you can tip-toe among the tide pools to find mussels, barnacles, sea anemones, and more.
If you walk down to the north end of the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk, you will find several tide pools filled with sea anemones, spiny purple sea urchins, snails, and crabs.
Make sure to check that it is a low-tide day, as shallow water offers the best viewing experience—happy exploring!
