You don’t have to press “pause” on your fitness journey while you’re on vacation in the Central Coast. Cambria is full of health and wellness activities so that you can keep crushing your goals—with a view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  

Day 1:

2:30 p.m. – Explore the Cambria Farmers Market

Stroll the Cambria Farmers Market for fresh local produce and prepared foods. It’s the perfect place to find a healthy local snack for your weekend trip!

The Farmers Market takes place every Friday afternoon—rain or shine. 

4:00 p.m. – Stroll the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk

Imagine getting in your daily steps with views of the ocean, the sounds of the birds chirping, and the coastal wind blowing through your hair. Whether you want to take a sunset stroll or get in a peaceful morning jog, this one-mile Boardwalk is the perfect location!

6:00 p.m. – Dinner at Robin’s Restaurant

You don’t have to sacrifice flavor for nutrition when you’re eating at Robin’s. From Cajun Spiced Skuna Bay Salmon to Thai Red Curry of Tofu, there is sure to be a dish that will satisfy without leaving your taste buds bored! Reservations are highly encouraged.

Day 2:

8 a.m. – Hike Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Start your day with the right foot forward with a hike through Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. There are several trails to choose from with varying distances and skill levels.

P.S. If you’re ready to step up the pace, this is also a great running trail! 

10:00 a.m. – Yoga with Tula Yoga or Pilates with Metta Pilates

Yoga on the beach? Pilates in a vineyard or lush garden? Yes, please! Get in touch with your inner zen by taking a private yoga session with Tula Yoga. Sessions are available in the studio or can be taken outdoors by request. Or push your body a little more in one of Metta Pilates’s strengthening classes. Check their websites for current class times and locations.

12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Indigo Moon

Looking for a protein-filled salad or soup? Stop by Indigo Moon for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Treat yourself to a local bottle of wine from their Wine & Cheese Shop while you’re there—you deserve it. 

1:30 p.m. – Spa Treatment at The Nest at El Colibri

When it’s time to relax those tired muscles, The Nest Spa at El Colbiri offers several massages to choose from including Swedish, Warm Stone, and Deep Tissue. The Nest Spa is complete with private massage treatment rooms, an outdoor Jacuzzi, and 2 steam rooms, perfect for relaxing in between your active activities. Please call to set up an appointment.

6 p.m. – Dinner at Black Cat Bistro

Get in your vegetable servings with dinner at Black Cat Bistro. A local favorite, Black Cat Bistro offers seasonal fare that includes fresh local produce and products. Because the menu is seasonal, it is always changing! The menu has included items such as fresh Cayucos abalone, Maple Leaf duck breast, and delicious vegetarian options. Reservations are highly encouraged.

Day 3:

7:00 a.m. – Cycle the Gorda Route (Cambria to Gorda)

Heading from Cambria to Gorda and back, this 70-mile round-trip ride includes some of our favorite parks and trailheads along the way. Every single stop has incredible views in store—but some of them necessitate a short hike or a longer trek for the ultimate payout. Pack your hiking boots so you can swap out footwear and go from biking to hiking whenever you come upon a new trail.

12:00 p.m. – Lunch at Soto’s True Earth Market

Soto’s mission is to nourish the Central Coast Community by offering natural foods, local produce, sustainable meats, gourmet sandwiches, delectable sides and salads, as well as local wines and craft beers. They even offer a wide-variety of vegan, vegetarian, organic, and gluten-free options!
