If you’re looking for the perfect place to treat Dad to ocean-view dining, Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill is it. Although they do not accept reservations, their seafood-based menu is well worth the wait.Saturday:
10:00 a.m. – Kayaking in San Simeon
Start your Saturday morning at sea! Whether you want to go at your own pace or take a tour, Kayak Outfitters will help you get out there. Please call ahead to reserve.
12:00 p.m. – Lunch & Wine at The Truck at Hearst Ranch Winery
Locally inspired and artfully directed by Chef Santos MacDonal, The Truck is a full-service mobile catering company based in Paso Robles and now serving up delicious bites at the Hearst Ranch Winery Tasting Room in San Simeon.
2:00 p.m. – Hearst Castle ‘Designing the Dream’ Tour
With Hearst Castle reopening after the pandemic, it’s the perfect time to take Dad on one of the key tours of William Randolph Hearst’s magnificent estate: the Designing the Dream Tour. This 75-minute tour revisits how Hearst’s vision for his estate was realized from the Casa del Sol, the dressing rooms behind the Roman Pool, and the historical esthetic of the North Wing of Casa Grande. Make sure to book this tour in advance!

Life moves fast. Nothing slows down a busy weekend more than an hour or two of quiet fishing off the San Simeon Pier.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Las Cambritas
If you find yourself in Cambria, but wanting south-of-the-border fare, head for Las Cambritas in the East Village. Come and enjoy live music on Thursday evenings in the lounge and Sunday afternoons on the deck by the beautiful creek.
2:00 p.m. – Linn’s Easy as Pie Cafe
